[ Hyesung, buddy, if you think the trauma from Buried Stars was bad, just wait until you hear about all the shit that went down after you died. Do-yoon still finds himself shaking at the memory, the sight of Seil's body had been a memory he'd tried to repress...

You're right, just. We just have to try and grab his hands. But... maybe I can still talk to him. Maybe we don't have to fight.

[ Fighting never ended well. It was how Seil ended up wandering off. How Hyesung... got into the whole mess. If they have to fight, even with the two of them, he doesn't think they could take down Gyu-hyuk. He's so strong.

But Hyesung is right. Gyu-hyuk wouldn't want to hurt anybody. He wouldn't want to hurt Do-yoon, even if he was mad. Gyu-hyuk is sweet and caring. He would thank them for this when it was all over. Do-yoon just has to focus on taking care of him, and try not to think too hard about the past. ]

It'll be fine, as long as I can talk to him. He'll listen. [ He really believes that. ] And... if he bites me, then he'll be wide open.

[ Do-yoon swallows. How does being with Hyesung always mess with his Sanity so bad? He hates the thought of going behind Gyu-hyuk's back like this, but they really have no choice. A plan starts to form in Do-yoon's mind. Unfortunately it means he's playing the bait, but he doesn't see a better option. ]

But you -- Hyesung, he might freak out if he sees you. He definitely won't want to talk. So maybe you can like, hide in the kitchen or something. That way if things go bad, you can still catch him by surprise.

So you want me to hide, while you act as bait?! Bro! That's...!

[...the only logical way they can do this, without straight-up opening the door and taking their chances. Shit! Shit!! It pisses Hyesung off, a lot, and he turns away, stomping back and forth for a moment while he mutters under his breath.]

This is crazy. This is crazy...

[It doesn't take him too long to come to a decision - really, he'd already made it as soon as Do-yoon came up with the suggestion - but that doesn't mean he's happy about it. Snarling, Hyesung turns and approaches Do-yoon, beginning to pull some of the longer belts off his jacket.]

I'll stay next to door, where he can't see me. That way, if he does bite you, I'll be close.

[His hands pause on one of those belts, and instead of undoing it, they shift to Do-yoon's collar, gripping it tight.]

I'm not gunna let him hurt you, bro. You got that?

[There's a fire in eyes, that finishes that statement with an unspoken 'you got a problem with that?'. You know, just to make sure Do-yoon doesn't think he's soft, or anything! You know! You...yeah!]

He already got you, I don't want you to end up dead on your first month here, bro.

[ It had almost happened to Gyu-hyuk, too. Maybe Do-yoon and Hyesung aren't dating, but he still cares about him. And he'd still feel like he was to blame if he let Hyesung die. Again. He's going to save him this time. And he certainly won't let Gyu-hyuk be the one to kill him. No way.

Gyu-hyuk would never hurt anyone. This has to work. ]

I know it's not good, but it's the only plan we have.

[ Do-yoon stands back and lets Hyesung pace, staying in his grip when Hyesung pulls him close. He knows how he is—he has to lash out when he's frustrated. He's probably even pissed because Gyu-hyuk has all the power here. Do-yoon gets it. He won't give him a hard time, they don't have time to be messing around.

Even if, yeah, the touch is nice. Hopefully neither of them has to discover that it takes two weeks to come back to life in this place.

Do-yoon pushes off of Hyesung's grip, giving himself space to plan his next steps in detail. ]

Just keep quiet and don't jump out unless you're sure he's distracted. You can't beat him in a fight—he's way too strong.

[ Normally a very hot fact about Gyu-hyuk, but now one that is particularly good right now. Though, if he's going to warn Hyesung (and they should probably get started with this quickly, if they really want to talk) then there's one more thing. ]

And one last thing. Don't... don't go after his neck.

[ Do-yoon hadn't seen the marks when Gyu-hyuk was injured, and he couldn't say how he knew, but... given Seil, there was no way Gyu-hyuk would be able to handle getting triggered like that. ]

I'll see if I can get him to put his hands around me—aim for those to tie him up. If you go for his neck, he's... it'll be too much, bro.

[Hyesung allows Do-yoon to push his hands away; he needs to gather up more of those belts, anyway. Geez, how many does this jacket have? Ugh, whatever. At least he's got a few, now. Running his thumb along one of them, Hyesung looks down at the belt, then off to the side. Don't go after his neck? What if Gyu-hyuk is really hurting Do-yoon, and he has no other choice? Why is it that the more questions he asks, the less answers he gets?!

There's something weird about all this. About Do-yoon, and Gyu-hyuk, and how they've been acting...do they know something he doesn't? Tch. He'll have to add that to the list of things to think about later, once this stupid situation is over.]

This plan sucks.

[It's the only response Do-yoon is going to get out of him, but the message seems to be have been heard loud and clear; tiptoeing so Gyu-hyuk can't hear he's moving there, Hyesung positions himself next to the door of the bedroom and nods at Do-yoon.

Here we go, then. What a shitty, shitty day.]

[ Do-yoon hopes he never has to explain why the neck thing would make Gyu-hyuk freak out, or why he's so insistent on keeping Hyesung alive, or why he's sure that Gyu-hyuk couldn't do this—wouldn't do this if it wasn't for some outside influence making him lose all sense of control.

After what they'd seen, there was just no way that Gyu-hyuk would do such a thing. It's a shitty plan, but it's all they have.

With Hyesung's acquiecense, Do-yoon can't stall any longer. He starts to move some of the chairs, loud enough that Gyu-hyuk should hopefully hear it too. ]

Gyu-hyuk! It's me—I'm moving these out of the way, okay? I want to talk to you... please don't be mad and just let me explain.

[ Gyu-hyuk is furious. He’s been banging on the door this entire time, screaming so much his voice is hoarse. If only they would let him drink a little more, then it would solve the problem, his throat would feel so much better coated with their blood.

He stills when Do-yoon addresses him through the door, although the angry vibes still sort of seep out. ]

You lied to me, Do-yoon! Why should I trust you?

[ This is the hard part. Do-yoon seriously hopes he can talk some sense into Gyu-hyuk, otherwise this is going to go very poorly for all three of them. ]

I know! I know... I'm sorry.

[ And he is sorry. He wouldn't have lied if it wasn't the only way he could be sure Hyesung would survive the end of the day. ]

You almost killed Hyesung, Gyu-hyuk.

[ Do-yoon's voice wavers. He hates that those are words he had to say. But it's true. He keeps moving furniture out of the way. He needs to answer him. ]

I... I care about you too much. I couldn't let you do that.

[ it’s a good thing he’s so angry now, so angry and hungry, because the irony of what do-yoon says would have cut him like a knife.

but like this it just adds to his anger. what did it matter, when hyesung was already dead in their world? Do-yoon hadn’t been enough to stop that from happening. ]

I stopped when you asked. You said you were going to let me taste you.

[ that’s all that matters anymore, his hunger, and this seems like a logic thing to be angry about from his perspective. ]

[ Oh, Gyu-hyuk sounds angry. Do-yoon's never heard him quite this angry before. Still, Do-yoon moves the last of the chairs out of the way. It's too bad he can't signal Hyesung or anything, because they definitely need to get Gyu-hyuk to calm down before they try anything, otherwise this is going to end badly. ]

You can... you can still bite me. I meant that.

[ Hyesung may be watching, but that doesn't mean Do-yoon has to pretend he's not talking to his boyfriend. And if the hunger is what's making everything worse, then Do-yoon doesn't mind. Gyu-hyuk would be careful if it's him, right? ]

I'm sorry I locked you in, Gyu-hyuk. I saw Hyesung bleeding on the couch and I got scared. [ It was too much like the bathroom. Too much like Buried Stars, though he refuses to say so out loud. But at least he can be honest about other things... ] I know you didn't mean to... but it scared me.

[ oh...he scared do-yoon...even vampirism isn’t enough to overcome how bad that makes him feel. there’s a light thunk as his forehead falls against the door, shoulders shaking and upset as he tries to collect himself.

now that the furniture is gone he opens the door, looking at do-yoon guilty. he might not feel bad about draining hyesung but ]

[ Oh, thank goodness that worked. There's no way Do-yoon would have been able to talk Gyu-hyuk down when he was angry, but at least if he'll listen to him, there's still hope. ]

I know.

[ Do-yoon hold his arms out for a hug. This is a very dangerous move, but he earnestly believes Gyu-hyuk wouldn't hurt him. Even if he bites him, he wouldn't go as far as he had with Hyesung.

Hopefully Hyesung will wait for Do-yoon's signal, because if he jumps the gun, they could both be dead. ]

It's this place, right? It's not you. You don't want to hurt anybody, do you?

Of course I don't want to hurt anyone!

[ He's so weak to Do-yoon, he happily takes the hug, wrapping his arms around his waist and burying his head in Do-yoon's shoulder. He'd be embarrassed about his behavior if he could remember Hyesung is here, but he's sort of put him out of his mind for now. Nothing matters except Do-yoon.

Well, nothing but Do-yoon and how ridiculously hungry he is. And with his head pressed against Do-yoon's neck and shoulder he can feel him so well, can smell his blood and chroma. He gently scrapes his fangs against his neck, not enough to break his skin or anything, but enough that Gyu-hyuk can feel Do-yoon.

He speaks quietly, only for the two of them: ]

I'm just so hungry, Do-yoon. Please...

[ Do-yoon sighs with relief, holding Gyu-hyuk in a warm embrace. If even after all that, Gyu-hyuk can still hold him and not lose his head, Do-yoon feels a lot better about this. Maybe Gyu-hyuk lost his sense earlier, but when it comes to Do-yoon, he's always kind like this. ]

I know. And I wanna help, okay?

[ They can work with this. They can keep him safe, until they find a cure. Maybe Gyu-hyuk really would let himself get tied down, if it was safer for Do-yoon that way.

Do-yoon shivers at the slight, gentle drag of Gyu-hyuk's fangs. Right, this is super hot. Hyesung can see them, but he doesn't really care if it means he gets to enjoy Gyu-hyuk being a hot vampire. ]

You can drink from me, just... be careful. [ But he smiles, an attempt at being reassuring. It's scary, but that's hot too. ] I trust you.

[ He doesn’t catch the smile. He’s too focused on what he’s being offered. One hand slides down to Do-yoon’s waist, the other up to his head to grab hold of his hair and keep him tight and close.

And then he plunges his fangs into Do-yoon’s neck. His blood is so much sweeter than Hyesung’s, so much better. Just like he’d imagined. He just tastes so good. He knows he has to be careful with him, but he’s so happy like this. Nothing could compare to the feeling of living entirely off of Do-yoon like this. ]

[ Do-yoon gasps, the pained sound turning into a moan as pleasure overwhelms his senses. Everything about the bite feels better than he could have hoped, from having Gyu-hyuk so close, to the incredible, almost overpowering desire that overtakes him and has him melting into Gyu-hyuk's arms. It's a good thing Gyu-hyuk has such a good hold on him, because already Do-yoon can feel his knees going weak, just as the blood and chroma gets drained from his body. ]

Oh... fuck.

[ He doesn't care though, he can't remember why he wouldn't want this. It feels so good, giving himself up to Gyu-hyuk, physically and emotionally. It's no wonder Hyesung almost died like this. ]

['Oh fuck', coincidentally, is exactly what goes through Hyesung's mind the second Gyu-hyuk drives his fangs into Do-yoon's neck. This wasn't part of the plan! Do-yoon was supposed to be the bait, but not like this! It all happened so quickly, he didn't even have time to react; he can see the way Do-yoon is beginning to go limp, though. Just like what happened to him. That means...]

Ah...!

[Thankfully - if it's possible to be thankful in this ridiculous goddamn situation - Gyu-hyuk was so consumed with Do-yoon that he doesn't seem to have noticed him.]

Shit!

[Right, time to take advantage of how distracted Gyu-hyuk is; leaping forward, heart pounding in his ears, Hyesung quickly moves to wrap one of those belts around Gyu-hyuk's arms, where they're curled around Do-yoon's back.]

Let him go, dude! You're gunna kill him!

[ It feels so good, and he's so focused on Do-yoon that he doesn't see Hyesung. And although he'd moved his hands so they weren't close anymore, Hyesung moves quick enough that the belt traps them and pulls them close.

His eyes open, going wide as he pulls out of Do-yoon's neck and straight up hisses, yes, like a cat, at Hyesung, trying to get his arms out of the way of the belts. But the material is strong and it holds, though he's fairly certain Hyesung didn't think this through at all because now he's bound with Do-yoon in his arms. ]

Why are you always -- ruining everything?! [ There's an anger to his voice that neither of them has heard before, full of rage and fury and a danger that's obvious now, his eyes narrowed on Hyesung. A singular focus, focused on him and forgetting for the moment about Do-yoon, still in his arms and still pressed close. ] Let me go, Seo Hyesung, or I'll finish what I started.

[ With the haze of the bite, Do-yoon doesn't even realize what Hyesung is doing. He doesn't hear him, doesn't even remember their whole "plan" because everything feels too wonderful and Gyu-hyuk is so warm and why would he fight it?

But all of that vanishes the moment Gyu-hyuk retracts his fangs. The fog lifts from his mind, his body a bit weak from the loss of blood, but it's nothing too serious. He's still held in Gyu-hyuk's arms, even if Hyesung managed to bind them together. Oh, this isn't what he'd planned at all. Do-yoon sucks in a sharp breath, cursing internally.

Dammit, Hyesung, I was going to ask him after he bit me.

Still, it's hard to blame Hyesung for his concern, when he was doing all this for his own safety. In the end, this plan really sucked but it's all they have. But Do-yoon's never heard Gyu-hyuk sound quite like this -- with so much much anger, dangerously so. Did Gyu-hyuk even have it in him? Well, he clearly does. You don't suffer like Gyu-hyuk suffered without gaining some resentment for the way things are.

But that doesn't mean he should take it out on Hyesung. Do-yoon may be trapped, but he doesn't pull away either, instead he pulls Gyu-hyuk closer, hoping that the chroma might at least help bring him back to normal. ]

Gyu-hyuk. Calm down! This isn't -- [ 'This isn't what I planned' ] We just don't want you to hurt anybody.

[This is truly the worst plan ever, but at least it got Gyu-hyuk to stop draining Do-yoon's blood? That's....a win, yeah? Admittedly, he's still caught within his arms, but...he stopped biting him! That's all that matters! Hyesung's heart is still hammering in his ears, but at least...at least he doesn't have to watch Do-yoon slowly fade away. He can't lose someone else. Have them die, and be trapped with a killer....!]

The hell I will!

[His voice cracks, sharply, despite the anger. Not again, he can't do that again! To escape that nightmare, only to end up in another one...it's not fair....

Hyesung grabs Gyu-hyuk's arms once more, but only to thread another belt around them, voice now steady but hands trembling. He won't admit it, but Gyu-hyuk's words - his rage - are getting to him.]

You've gone crazy, bro. Do you want to kill Do-yoon? Would that make you feel good?

[ He fights against the belts, the leather digging into his skin angrily. He could really hurt himself like this, he realizes, like those wounds that had been left on Seil when they'd found him with the leather belt around his neck. But he also finds he doesn't care. It would be worth a thousand marks to get out of Hyesung's hold and keep Do-yoon only for himself.

Especially since Do-yoon seems to want that, too. Yes, that must be it, because Do-yoon presses himself closer and he'd let him bite him. Hyesung was the one who had it wrong, like always, coming between him and what he wanted.

It's Hyesung's question that makes him stop. Would it make him feel good? He doesn't know. It had, before. Certainly with Seil, if not before. And in the nightmare, when he'd killed that monstrous version of himself, his fingers around it's neck, taking it's life and watching it die. Watching himself die. It had felt so good, yes, to do it again would be right...whether it was Hyesung, or Do-yoon ---

But that thought fights back hard against the instinct to kill and to drain them until they have nothing left. He could never hurt Do-yoon. It wouldn't feel good to kill Do-yoon, he'd rather kill himself. He screams in frustration, caught between these two terrible feelings, each so strong, tearing him apart, it hurts so bad... ]

N-no, I don't want to hurt Do-yoon, I---

[ he relaxes, submitting to Hyesung at least for now. ]

I don't want to hurt him. Whatever you have to do.

Hyesung!

[ Do-yoon wants to tell him to stop goading him, to stop making this worse when things are already so bad. But Hyesung's words seem to have gotten through to Gyu-hyuk, and that's a huge relief. Even knowing Gyu-hyuk would never intentionally hurt him, it's good to hear him sounding more like himself, instead of the angry, bitter voice he'd used before.

Gyu-hyuk is obviously dealing with a lot. Everyone has feelings they hide from others, his are just hard to spot. Maybe sometimes you have to be harsh and loud like Hyesung to see everything about a person. Even still... Do-yoon can't help but feel sorry for him. He never asked to be affected by whatever changed him like this. ]

It's okay. It's okay, Gyu-hyuk. I know.

[ Do-yoon hugs him again, this time pulling back afterwards to try and get out of his hold. It's not that he doesn't want to be near him, but for their safety... he'd have to be. As good as that bite felt, it could get dangerous. He doesn't want to end up like Hyesung. ]

We'll take care of everything. You won't hurt anybody, we'll make sure.

[Hyesung is still looking rather bristly, but the fact that Gyu-hyuk's rage seems to have abated definitely calms him down (to a point, anyway). He's tempted to reply with something snappy and sarcastic, but to his credit, he manages to hold his tongue. He may be reckless, but at least he's smart enough to realise when the battle is over.

It's cautious, but he approaches as Do-yoon tries to get out of Gyu-hyuk's hold, watching to see if he needs any support.]

Now what?

[Hyesung knows what he thinks should happen; bind Gyu-hyuk's legs in case he changes his mind about being peaceful. But Do-yoon appears to be in control of things, so...he'll wait for him to make a decision. He's definitely not relaxing, though - Gyu-hyuk is calm now, but who knows how he'll be once Do-yoon is free?]

[ It's certainly harder without Do-yoon being close, without the chroma from their touch. but he's patient as Do-yoon works his way out of his bound arms (Hyesung certainly made this difficult on both of them), and he's left looking at both of them, arms bound and waiting for them to pass their verdict on him.

If only someone had made an informational PSA on what to do next...like, you know, on the network. ]

You should both go, before I hurt you again.

[ Do-yoon works his way out of Gyu-hyuk's hold, taking a step back though certainly remaining close enough that he's still basically by Gyu-hyuk's side. This is his boyfriend, after all. Having him tied up in the same belts that had killed Seil doesn't sit right by him, but right now it's all they have. ]

We're not going to just leave you here.

[ He was checking his watch earlier for exactly this reason, you know. Solutions. The Moon Knights recommended those magnetic restraints, but anything standard would work, too. ]

We can... We can get something better than this. Something that won't leave a mark.

[ The last thing he wants is belt-marks. Hyesung is probably going to be suspicious about their insistence at this point, but it is what it is. Do-yoon turns towards Hyesung, pleading for him to continue to be understanding. Because, yeah, he can tell he's holding his tongue through a lot right now. ]

You said so earlier, bro. Handcuffs, rope... They sell that stuff everywhere here. We can hold him down without hurting him. [ Do-yoon looks back at Gyu-hyuk, placing a hand on his tied wrists. ] This isn't his fault.
